Working on a great soft pretzel recipe for a hip boutique hotel in Asheville, NC opening up soon. This is a bar food item served with a variety of compound mustards…too sweet…I’ll get it right soon. Why is Lisa still on TC? She frightens me.

At times over the years, work in the yachting industry has sucked…people don’t understand it, they think we are always laying around drinking pina coladas. This time I was. Life is good. Some shots from the ride. During a couple of days at Little Dix Bay Resort, I fell in love with the ottoman, all the fabrics, our tree house room, the view and my husband all over again.
Marge and Aaron VonLehmden hosted their annual Kentucky Derby Party…You got to love all Derby Party hosts that make sure they have crushed ice for their Juleps. It ain’t a Derby Party without silver Julep cups, crushed ice and fancy hats! I could only stay for a few minutes since I was off to a shoot in Birmingham, AL….but I had a ton to eat and a couple of juleps!
It’s always fun when it’s in an artistic way where you can help raise money for something wonderful. The Artful Table is a fundraiser to benefit the Telfair House Museum in Savannah. Different designers around Savannah do a tabletop design. Each table is sponsored for $1000, and there are three days of events supporting the “artful tables”. I worked with two wonderful young designers Courtland Smith and Claire Reeves who own Number 411 on Whitaker Street. I adore them and their home store. This years prompt was “point of view”. Our concept was a “Birds Eye View”. I was in charge of the “food styling” and made a cool “bird buffet”…savory and sweet. It was a great fundraiser and an amazing party that evening. Bunny Williams was the guest speaker for the next days events which were sold out. It was a huge success. Great Job Courtland and Claire!
My beautiful niece Corie married her best friend Keith. It was a stunning wedding only made more dramatic by the tornado evacuation (twice)! My talented sister, Robbie, did an amazing job designing the event…Black, white and a hue of green that the bride seemed to change daily. 🙂 Corie was the perfect bride to roll with the weather drama…nothing seemed to phase her. The bar always had a line and the dance floor was never empty. Congratulations Corie and Keith! I adore you. (Pictured are Corie and her cousins Anthony, Aubrey, Lindsay and Kyle)
